Dear Member

The Club would like to draw your attention to the following news items:-

The closing date for this well established sale is fast approaching. Please submit your entries of in lamb ewes, gimmers and empty ewe lambs, directly to Wright Marshall, Chelford, Macclesfield, SK11 9 AX.

The final deadline is first post Monday 5th December.

Following the success of the collective advert in this year’s society journal, the Club intends to repeat its double page advert in 2017. This publication has a massive circulation within the whole of the sheep industry and our participation as a regional group of breeders was well received.

If you would like to advertise your flock, please contact with your Name, Flock Code and Name, Address and Contact Number.

We will endeavour to keep the costs the same at £10 each. This will be achieved if we are able to get your support and an early response, to take advantage of the discount that is currently available. Please reply now and we will invoice you directly.

Our 33rd Annual General Meeting, Presentation by Agri Lloyd and Supper will be held on TUESDAY 10th JANUARY 2017. Please save the date!

This year, we have a change of venue and are delighted to announce that we will be gathering at MILANO's, MILL FARM, WESHAM, PR4 3JZ.

Mill Farm Sports Village has been built by Tangerine Holdings of which Agri Lloyd is a part. We have been invited to utilise this brand new facility by them and the restaurant, Milano's is modern and welcoming.

Sponsored by Agri Lloyd, the menu choices will be circulated shortly and guests are very welcome (£10 per supper). Please contact if you would like to join us...... it should be a great night!

At our next committee meeting, which is scheduled for Thursday 19th January 2017, we intend to start off with a one hour open forum for members, before continuing with business. This will give you an opportunity to bring to the table, constructive ideas and suggestions for the Club to consider and act upon. If you would prefer to write down your thoughts, your letter can be read out. Everyone is welcome and we look forward to your input. You will be notified of the venue, nearer the time.

In the mean time I wish you all a Merry Christmas when it comes

The next event in the Clubs' calendar is our well established, Annual Winter Show & Sale of In Lamb Pedigree Texel Ewes, Gimmers and Empty Ewe Lambs. The venue is Chelford Agricultural Centre on Saturday 7th January 2017.

The Club has some fantastic news to share with you all and your support would be appreciated - you could benefit too!

Agri Lloyd, a company, whose name that I am sure you will all be familiar with, have agreed to sponsor the Clubs social, promotional and sales activity for the whole of the 2016 / 17 season.

They wish to support us all and believe that their UK's No. 1 premium  products are an ideal partner to the UK's No. 1 premier breed - our Texels.

Throughout the year you will see their name associated with that of the North West Texel Breeders Club. We will partner them on all of our advertising material – journal, events calendar, posters, banners, catalogues, press adverts, etc. They are going have a presence at flock visits and discussions, promotional activity and sales, and of course at our  AGM and supper next January.

Agri Lloyd sell numerous sheep products, including the proven best colostrum, Surestart; the chelated ewe and lamb trace element, vitamin and amino acid drench, Liquithrive and the unique rumen modulator to help improve digestion and feed intake, Maximise. We will be learning more about their use and benefits to our stock, as the year progresses.

However, I appreciate many of you will be planning your regimes now. Therefore, should you decide to purchase any Agri Lloyd products MAKE SURE you quote the code TEXEL NW with your order. This will allow them to assess the coverage they have received through their sponsorship of the Club and your name will be entered into a FREE PRIZE DRAW for doing so.

Agri Lloyd can be contacted on 0800 458 4844 or contact your local representative for advice.
